The Howick Local Board Sports Awards finalists have been named after a tough time by the judging committee.

There are international, national and regional-level athletes winning their divisions and grades at all three levels.

The finalists represent just how impressive the sport is in the Howick Local Board area, with more than 16 sports being represented.

Six officials who have contributed significant time and energy into making sport in this area what it is will also be presented with a service to sport award. The awards evening is on Thursday August 25.
