Packing people like sardines into high rise high-density housing ticks all the boxes (for the government that is).

It is cheaper and more economical to provide essential services such as electricity, water, transport, commuting to shops and schools, land use, the environment (questionable), even to the extent of normalising climate change.

The one item they conveniently – and one could even add, surreptitiously – left out is people, human beings, who have to live in them.
