Ovo energy is reportedly considering a takeover of Shell’s UK domestic gas and electricity business.
Sky news said it understands the energy firm, among the UK’s biggest, is expected to table an “indicative offer” for Shell Energy Retail Limited’s (SERL) UK operation.
The firm is one of two energy executives believe is exploring a potential bid for Shell’s British domestic business.
Sources have told Sky that Ovo will table a bid on Wednesday to meet an informal deadline set by Lazard, the financial services company overseeing the process.
