Since then the star was dropped from the franchise by Disney amid home abuse allegations by his ex-wife Amber Heard, which the actor strongly denies.

Yet having received his libel case towards her in the US final yr, followers have been hoping the 60-year-old star will make peace with the studio and reprise his much-loved position.

Now OLBG have shared the odds of his return as Captain Jack Sparrow in Pirates of the Caribbean 6.

As it stands the bookies have given this a 3-1 likelihood and 25 per cent likelihood.
