US Republican senators blocked Wednesday $106 billion in emergency assist primarily for Ukraine and Israel as conservatives balked on the exclusion of immigration reforms they’d demanded as a part of the package deal. The blocked assist invoice has sparked fears of a “domino effect” amongst Ukrainians, FRANCE 24’s correspondent Gulliver Cragg stated. “If the US’s support for Ukraine couldn’t be counted on, then Ukraine’s other allies might start giving up on the country as well”, Cragg stated.
