Britain’s alcohol and cholocate firms have had a merrier Christmas than ordinary, after gross sales to international locations within the UK’s newest commerce partnership soared.

Sales of Christmassy treats, together with chocolate, gin, whisky and glowing wine, are up “significantly” this yr after Britain joined the landmark Comprehensive and Progressive Agreement for Trans-Pacific Partnership (CPTPP) commerce bloc.
