Footage reveals floodwater speeding down roads in Dumfries, Scotland, on Wednesday night (27 December) as Storm Gerrit triggered harmful climate situations.

The Whitesands space of Dumfries was hit by in depth flooding from the River Nith, with Police Scotland warning of highway closures.

A flood warning for the realm was issued on Wednesday morning and is because of stay in place till early on Thursday.
