America is the world’s largest natural-gas producer, however New Englanders’ capability to remain heat in winter could hinge on the destiny of an costly, 53-year-old import plant that its proprietor has threatened to close down.

Constellation Energy plans to retire a Massachusetts energy plant on the finish of May.
