An enormous crash involving a number of autos has shut the M4 in each instructions this morning. An air ambulance has simply arrived on the scene on the M4 westboynd between Junction 42 A483 Swansea East / Briton Ferry and J44 A465 Llandarcy in Neath Port Talbot, in line with site visitors information firm Inrix.

Traffic cameras present congestion is now reaching to J41 in Baglan/Pentyla westbound, whereas it’s far again as J45 in Ynysforgan eastbound.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police mentioned: “We are at the scene of a collision on the M4 between Junction 42 and 44.

“The highway is at present closed in each instructions. It is predicted to stay closed for a while. Motorists are suggested to keep away from the world and use various routes the place attainable. Delays are anticipated within the space.”

South Wales Police confirmed that the road traffic collision involved a lorry and two cars on the M4 westbound. The incident took place at around 9.25am this morning, as the forced confirmed one woman has been rushed to University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff after the horror crash.

A spokesperson for South Wales Police told WalesOnline: “At round 9.25am at this time emergency providers have been referred to as following a highway site visitors collision which concerned a lorry and two vehicles on the westbound carriageway of the M4 between junctions 42 and 43.

“A 58-year-old woman has been taken by air ambulance to the University Hospital of Wales at Cardiff. Her condition is described as non-life-threatening. The motorway was closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land. The motorway is now open.”
