From 16 to 11 ministries

All governments till the one fashioned by Gabriel Attal on Thursday had 16 full-fledged ministries. The new authorities solely has eleven, together with two “superministries”, that of National Education, Youth, Sports and the Olympic Games, and that of Labor, Health and Solidarity.

A falling parity

While parity was strictly noticed within the allocation of full ministries within the governments of Édouard Philippe and Jean Castex, we word a drop within the proportion of ladies from the second authorities fashioned by Élisabeth Borne, in July 2022.

But it’s Gabriel Attal’s new workforce, fashioned on Thursday January 10, which occurs to be the least equal of all: solely 4 ladies have a portfolio, and none has a sovereign ministry.

An more and more right-wing “at the same time”

Perceivable within the balances discovered at first of Emmanuel Macron’s first five-year time period to compose governments, the “at the same time” expensive to the president veers clearly to the best with Gabriel Attal.
For the primary time, the presence of ministers from LR is clearly marked.

Significant variations in common age

The governments with the best common age are people who Édouard Philippe led between May 2017 and July 2020. His sixteen full-time ministers have been thus 56.1 years outdated on common, whereas Jean Castex’s workforce had 52.3 years, on common.
And if Gabriel Attal, at 34 years outdated, is the youngest Prime Minister of the Fifth Republic, shock: it’s the ministers chosen by Élisabeth Borne who’re the youngest. The former Prime Minister’s first two groups have been thus on common 49.1 years outdated, in comparison with 50.5 years for that of Gabriel Attal at 50.5 years outdated.
The prize for ministerial youth even goes to the outgoing authorities, whose ministers have been on common 47.4 years outdated.
