Drivers in south-east London and Kent are plotting authorized motion if their dashing fines aren’t quashed after unknowingly breaking a velocity restrict on a busy street.

It emerged that they’d been racking up costs and factors on their licences in a stretch of the A20 street in Sidcup, as a consequence of incorrect signposting.

The south-east London street was a 50mph zone – however Transport for London had really lowered the velocity restrict to 40mph.

TfL, which is chaired by Sadiq Khan, was unable to forestall an “unauthorised” 50mph signal being put up by a “third party”, that means drivers thought they had been permitted to drive sooner than they really had been.
