As teased over the past week, AC/DC are set to move off on a European tour this yr to mark their fiftieth anniversary.

The band haven’t performed in Europe in eight years and have since launched one other album, 2020’s Power Up.

Longtime drummer Phil Rudd and bassist Cliff Williams (who retired on the finish of the 2016 Rock or Bust tour) returned to make the report.

Then final yr, AC/DC performed a one-off gig in California, with Cliff making a dwell look.

However, each he and Rudd have now been changed within the upcoming tour with the bassist seemingly remaining in retirement.

Meanwhile, Rudd has been open about desirous to spend extra time together with his associate Toni Wilson, who has terminal breast most cancers and was given six months to dwell in May.

Speaking with Stuff in November, the drummer introduced he was promoting off his private AC/DC memorabilia to help the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation and lift consciousness of the illness.

At the time he mentioned: “I’d give it all up, throw it on a bonfire, if it meant it would give Toni more time. She’s the love of my life. My best friend. All the money in the world can buy you things, but it can’t buy you time.”

Despite the continuing difficulties, the drummer hopes to play with AC/DC once more at some point: “I look forward to playing with them again in the future … rock on.”

Lead guitarist Angus Young, vocalist Brian Johnson and rhythm guitarist Stevie Young will as an alternative be joined by drummer Matt Laug (who performed on the one-off gig final yr) and a brand new bass participant on the brand new AC/DC tour. Check out the dates, together with two London live shows, and tickets data under.
