NAfter his participation in a gathering of radical right-wing circles in Potsdam, the state parliament of Saxony-Anhalt eliminated AfD politician Ulrich Siegmund as chairman of the social committee. The obligatory two-thirds majority was achieved in parliament in Magdeburg on Wednesday.

AfD co-parliamentary group chief Siegmund confirmed his participation within the assembly, however acknowledged that he was there as a non-public individual.

Several parliamentary teams then criticized Siegmund. He defined that he noticed no cause in any respect to vacate his place as chairman of the social committee.

Also on the agenda is a debate on the state forest legislation and the election of a brand new consultant to come back to phrases with the SED dictatorship. Representatives of the CDU, SPD, FDP, the Left and the Greens have introduced that they wish to elect the candidate Johannes Beleites.
