The Crulla 2024 competition closes its lineup with Avril Lavigne, Pet Shop Boys, Oques Grasses and Mara Becerra: “We want to be a reflection of Barcelona with an international outlook” | EUROtoday

Avril Lavigne, Fat Geese, Calexico, The Tyets o Johnny Marr are a few of the artists who will carry out on the fourteenth version of the Festival Crulla 2024which can happen between the times July 10 and 13 in it Parc del Frum in Barcelona.

In the presentation this Wednesday of the occasion, the director of the Crulla, Jordi Herreruelahas said that the present version “will revolve around three axes: it will be a reflection of Barcelona“, however with a global outlook and sustaining its personal identification, not desirous to be the most important, however the perfect, and musical range.”

In the section of artists to be discovered, there is the Murcian Maria Blaywho has collaborated with artists such as Rojuu o Natalia Lacundathe Galician rapper Second Sealwith a band made up entirely of women, or the Catalan Koramore integrated into electronic pop.

The Argentine representation, a production machine for the urban music scene of recent times, will be in charge of YSY A, Thunder y Mara Becerra.

On July 11 it will be the turn of dance music and orchestras, and a commitment has been made to rumba, with the presence of Azucarillo Kings, The Plazuela or the indescribable Russian Crab y Albert Plan.

There will also be space for Latin orchestras, such as the Niche group, Iraqisled by Chucho Valds and that mixes Cuban music with jazz, and for the Puerto Rican merengue exponent Olga Tan.

Some of the big names of July 12 are Amaral, The Kooks, Kasabian y Avril Lavignean icon of punk music from the 90s who returns to Barcelona 20 years later, and, as for indie-pop, artists such as Sealed, Eva Sola, Ganges, Gonzalo Hermida o Dove.

Other jewels of the day from other musical genres will be Sword Master, From Pedro, Raydenwho this year will say goodbye to the stage, Door y Wrong Sue.

Finally, the closing day (July 13) will be the time to listen to the Catalan groups The Tyets, Fat Geese, Ginest, Allrgiques al Pollen y Rob Estesa.

And, in the international section, German with bases of Jamaican music Peter Fox, Calexico, Johnny Marr, Aurora, Pet Shop Boys and close the festival Chk Chk Chk.

The Councilor for Culture and Creative Industries of Barcelona City Council, Xavier Marchas highlighted the event's “native perspective, the female dedication and that it’s a competition with a narrative, a planning will and guidelines of the sport.”

The prices to attend the festival vary depending on the number of days: the Fertilizer Weekend (July 12 and 13 at 130 euros), the Allowance 3 Das (11, 12 and 13 at 140 euros) and the Allowance 4 Das (150 euros), while one-day tickets for Wednesday and Thursday are 45 euros and those for Friday and Saturday are 76 euros.
