Voters throughout Russia solid ballots Saturday on the second day of an election set to formalise six extra years of energy for President Vladimir Putin, who faces no severe challengers after crushing political dissent over his practically 25 years of rule. The election comes towards the backdrop of a ruthless crackdown that has stifled unbiased media and outstanding rights teams. Putin’s primary foe, Alexei Navalny, died in an Arctic jail in February. At least half a dozen individuals have been arrested for acts of vandalism in polling stations throughout Russia.
