DSince 2018, it has develop into a practice. To put together the Aix area for the challenges that await it, the Pays d'Aix Durance Town Planning Agency (Aupa) organizes potential seminars annually, led by a visitor of honor. The final two headliners hit the mark with the mayor, Sophie Joissains (UDI). In 2022, Carlos Moreno, theoretician of the “quarter-hour city”, pushed her to ask Aupa to determine 16 centralities inside the Pays d'Aix and to determine the failing sectors: housing , colleges, transport, cultural amenities… “It’s a major planning issue,” underlines the director of the company, Serge Lerda.
