Greta Thunberg was amongst dozens of local weather protesters detained by police in The Hague on Saturday, 6 April, as an illustration partially blocking a highway within the Dutch metropolis.

Extinction Rebellion (XR) stated activists deliberate to dam the A12 freeway for the thirty seventh time.

“We’re staying here because we know what is at stake. And we are not going to give up,” the Swedish environmental activist, 21, advised reporters on the protest towards Dutch subsidies and tax breaks to firms linked to fossil gas industries.

Ms Thunberg was pictured making a victory signal as she sat in a bus utilized by police to take detained protesters from the scene.
