Sir Keir Starmer clashed with a reporter over a query about Angela Rayner throughout his go to to Blackpool on Thursday, 11 April.

The Labour chief visited the Lancashire city forward of subsequent month’s by-election.

When requested by ITV reporter Andrew Misra if he was 100 per cent assured Angela Rayner has achieved nothing unsuitable concerning the sale of her former council home in Stockport, Sir Keir wouldn’t explicitly say if he was.

As he was pressed on his reply, Sir Keir advised the journalist: “Don’t try and play a game on this… I have full confidence in her.

“You should be asking questions about the state of the NHS.”
