An airport within the UK has been shut after a suspicious bundle was discovered on board a aircraft.
The Aer Lingus flight was heading to Belfast from Birmingham when it was pressured to return to its start line, experiences Daily Star
The airport has been formally closed down “until further notice”.
A Birmingham Airport spokesperson advised Express.co.uk: “Birmingham Airport has temporarily suspended operations due to a security incident on an aircraft.
“The aircraft landed safely and all passengers and crew have disembarked.
“All customers due to travel should make their way to the airport and check in as normal.”
