«We want a European Union that’s match for the world of at the moment and tomorrow. What I’ll suggest in my report is a radical change: that is what we’d like.” Mario Draghi said this while speaking to La Hulpe at the high-level conference on the European Pillar of Social Rights organized by Belgium's rotating EU presidency. «I believe that the political cohesion of our Union requires that we act together, if possible always. We must be aware that political cohesion is threatened by changes in the rest of the world,” Draghi mentioned. «Restoring our competitiveness shouldn’t be one thing we will obtain alone or by competing with one another. It requires us to behave as a European Union in a method that we have now by no means carried out earlier than”, he underlined.
