A person was hit and killed by a van in Upper Palatinate. The 58-year-old died on the scene of the accident police introduced. The man was strolling on the sidewalk in Neukirchen close to Sulzbach-Rosenberg (Amberg-Sulzbach district) on Friday morning. A 27-year-old backed out of a driveway in a pickup truck and hit the pedestrian. Attempts to resuscitate the primary responders have been unsuccessful.
