Tens of 1000’s of demonstrators hit the streets of Spain’s Canary Islands on Saturday to demand modifications to the mannequin of mass tourism they are saying is overwhelming the Atlantic archipelago. Rallying beneath the slogan “The Canary Islands have a limit”, demonstrators started protesting at noon (1100 GMT), with flag-waving crowds packing the streets of the primary cities throughout all the archipelago’s seven islands.
