Bitter finish to the Cala Mijas pageant as a result of “non-payment of important sums” | EUROtoday

The music pageant Cala Mijas has been suspended definitively after solely two editions held within the Malaga municipality in 2022 and 2023.

The pageant was organized by the promoter Last Tour, the corporate behind festivals akin to Bilbao BBK Live and Azkena Rock and Taylor Swift's Iberian tour. In a harsh assertion towards the Mijas City Council, ruled by the PP, the group blames the company for “repeated and serious breaches“, probably the most related of all of them consisting of the non-payment of the vital sums in sponsorship in relation to the 2023 version of the pageant, a non-payment that has persevered regardless of the continual cost necessities formulated.”
