A livid row over tree branches has erupted between neighbours in a quiet leafy Surrey suburbs.

Sue Croft reported her neighbours to Surrey Police after they in the reduction of her tree and “pulled down her fence” with out her permission.

Sarah Davis, a 40-year-old mum, insisted she had no alternative however to behave after Mrs Croft repeatedly ignored requests to chop it again.

The row started when branches from a big tree in Mrs Croft’s backyard began to develop into Ms Davis’ personal backyard house.

Ms Davis told the MailOnline that the neighbourhood had grown accustomed to Mrs Croft’s “outrage”.

She said: “She is completely ridiculous. She’s fully within the mistaken. We spoke to her previous to the tree surgical procedure being performed, she was absolutely conscious. That tree is hers and she or he would not keep it.

“It encroaches on our property and was putting pressure on the hedge and public footpath beneath it which is now buckling under the strain of the roots and becoming uneven and dangerous.”

She revealed that she had lived in worry of the tree crashing into her backyard and home throughout a fierce storm, including: “We have had storms and it sways violently, it was scary.”

Ms Davis additionally ridiculed the choice to ask for police assist, saying: “What are the police going to do? She’s utterly insane! A spokesman for the tree surgeon disputed claims that the fence was broken.
