A UK airport has been named the “most stressful” within the UK simply months after being topped the “worst” within the nation.

Preply analysed the largest airports within the nation to find out which “offer the worst experience for passengers, using metrics such as ‘stressful’ reviews, lost luggage queries, parking costs, punctuality, and the number of passengers passing through each airport”.

Manchester Airport topped the listing to be named Britain’s most aggravating airport. It has a median Google assessment rating of three out of 5, with 138 of the opinions mentioning the phrase “stressful”.

It additionally had over 9,000 mentions of misplaced baggage, a median delay of 25 minutes, and a median price for long-stay parking throughout peak season of £360.

This gave it an “airport stress score” of 6.56, nearly 20 % greater than the airport in second place, London Luton. Luton acquired a “stress score” of 5.48.

“We are in the middle of a £1.3bn transformation programme which, when it is complete, will mean passengers in the North will be able to enjoy an airport to rival any around the world. Our brand new Terminal 2 has already won the prestigious Prix Versailles for architecture and design.

“We are proud to serve the people of the North with a route network unrivalled outside London and top class facilities – and we look forward to welcoming passengers and showing them just how wrong this ‘research’ is.”

This comes simply two months after the airport’s terminals have been named the worst within the nation. Which? requested 4,000 passengers to attain UK airports in 11 classes together with seating, workers, queues at check-in, bag drop, passport management and safety.

Manchester Airport took the 2 lowest locations within the rankings, with Terminal Three getting a buyer rating of 38 % and Terminal One getting 44 %.
