Sir Keir Starmer was grilled by Richard Madeley over why he’s refusing to have a look at authorized recommendation that Angela Rayner claims exonerates her within the row over her former council home.

The Labour chief insisted he believes his deputy and doesn’t must see the paperwork personally when pressed by the Good Morning Britain host.

“The answer to that question from me is yes. I don’t need legal advice to tell me whether I believe Angela Rayner when she tells me where she was living.”

It comes as Greater Manchester Police is investigating allegations about Ms Rayner’s previous dwelling scenario.

The Ashton-under-Lyne MP is going through claims allegations she could have damaged electoral regulation by giving false details about the place she was dwelling.

There are additionally questions over whether or not she owes capital features tax on the 2015 sale of her ex-council home.

Ms Rayner insists the property on Vicarage Road in Stockport was her principal residence between 2007 and 2015.
