SYDNEY — Beijing’s state-controlled propaganda items are forging ties with Chinese tech firms, together with the sister firm of common e-commerce agency Temu, in what researchers say is probably going a coordinated effort to collect focused knowledge on overseas customers that can be utilized to bolster misinformation campaigns and different state propaganda work overseas.
