During my time at college I lived in a typical filthy pupil shared house. By far the worst room was the kitchen. There was a grimy casserole dish within the sink always. A well-fed mouse had so little regard for us that once I got here in he would sit on the shelf and proceed consuming. But the worst of all: the Ikea slicing board that has been handed down by way of generations of twenty-somethings. It had colour patches of all fungal colony variations. The floor felt slimy and smelled like fermenting onion juice. I’ve all the time loved cooking. During my time as a shared house I principally left it alone.
