Bradford home fireplace tragedy as 10-year-old woman dies | UK | News | EUROtoday
A ten-year-old woman has died after a home fireplace in Bradford, with a girl and three different youngsters taken to hospital for therapy.
Emergency providers have been known as to the property, in Kingsdale Drive, simply after 1am yesterday morning.
A 37-year-old lady and three youngsters, aged 11, six, and three, had managed to flee and have been taken to hospital with accidents which have been described as being non-life threatening, West Yorkshire Police stated.
Tragically, a fourth youngster, a 10-year-old woman, was found inside the home and pronounced lifeless on the scene, the pressure added.
Police investigating the home fireplace have stated the blaze isn’t being handled as suspicious.
West Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service despatched three crews, two from Bradford and one from Shipley, which used two hose reels and 4 respiration equipment on the scene.
A neighbour who didn’t want to be named described listening to listening to sirens at round 1.10am.
They added: “I saw smoke and the fire brigade coming up the street.
“I did not know the household however I’ve gone to put flowers for condolences.”
A message accompanying flowers left at the scene said: “Thinking of and praying for you all presently of horrible loss and grief.”
Detective Chief Inspector Zaheer Abbas of Bradford District Police said: “This is a fully tragic incident during which a younger youngster has misplaced her life, our ideas are together with her household presently.
“Our investigation with the fire service has deemed that the fire was not suspicious.
“The household are being supported by specifically skilled officers, a file will now be ready for the coroner in the end.”
