Ukraine on Tuesday introduced that it had detained two Ukrainian safety officers concerned in a plot coordinated by Russia to assassinate senior Ukrainian officers, together with President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Two colonels within the State Guard of Ukraine, which protects high officers, have been detained on suspicion of enacting the plan drawn up by Russia’s Federal Security Service, a press release mentioned. The colonels have been recruited earlier than Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022, in response to the assertion.
