Albiach (Comunes) calls for a brand new financing system for Catalonia: “The current model benefits Madrid de Ayuso”

The candidate of the commons for the Generalitat, Jéssica Albiach, has demanded an enchancment in financing for Catalonia to acquire “more resources” and put an finish to “unfair competition” from different territories. “The current financing model mainly benefits the [Comunidad de] Madrid de Ayuso,” he stated this Wednesday morning at a convention organized by Barcelona Tribuna.

Before 100 individuals, together with the previous president of the Generalitat José Montilla (PSC) and Miquel Roca (former head of Convergència and one of many fathers of the Constitution), Albiach has claimed to use the precept of “ordinality” and the “ population criterion” to develop a brand new mannequin. “The State Government has assumed the need to open the financing debate. It is important to stop having Madrid as a well of resources and guarantee resources for everyone. The principle of ordinality is essential,” he insisted.

To this finish, it has requested the remainder of the Catalan political events for a standard and “country” proposal. “We need a proposal for Catalonia in dialogue with all Catalan forces. A proposal for the country, not for the party,” he careworn. The goal of the commons is, stated the progressive chief, “to end the underfinancing of public services, increase the resources managed by Catalonia, advance transparency and fully develop the Tax Agency of Catalonia.”

In different issues, Albiach has referred to as for “advancing the national recognition of Catalonia, the definitive transfer of Rodalies and the management of ports and airports and protecting the Catalan language.” In the linguistic subject, he has defended immersion and has requested to “stop using ideas or trilingualisms.”
