Northern lights created a colourful spectacle within the evening sky: They appeared magenta over the Black Forest in Baden-Württemberg, in violet-blue-green colours within the Oder-Spree district of Brandenburg and in a purple shimmer over the Brocken within the Harz Mountains. The uncommon spectacle was brought on by photo voltaic storms hitting Earth's magnetic discipline. It's purported to final by way of the weekend.
