In mild of the conflict within the Gaza Strip, the International Criminal Court's chief prosecutor, Karim Khan, has requested arrest warrants for main figures on each side. An announcement stated Khan had “reasonable grounds to believe, based on the evidence collected and reviewed by my office,” that Hamas chief Jahia Sinwar and Israel's President Benjamin Netanyahu are accountable for crimes. Specifically, it issues alleged conflict crimes and crimes towards humanity.
