Located off Morocco, Spain’s Canary Islands are going through their worst migrant disaster since 2006. In only one yr, 30,000 migrants have arrived on the archipelago. The smallest island, El Hierro, noticed 4,000 arrive in January alone. Despite locals and NGOs coming collectively to assist out, El Hierro is overwhelmed.
