This is the second a lightning bolt strikes a home, sparking a fireplace in West Seneca, New York.

Security footage captured the lightning bolt arcing down in direction of the house alongside Holland Avenue throughout a storm on 23 May.

The strike ignited a small flame on the residence, the place wisps of smoke have been seen popping out of the roof.

Firefighters later arrived to place out the fireplace.

No accidents have been reported.
