A big hearth has damaged out at a buiding below development in east London, with an enormous cloud of smoke filling the sky.

As many as 70 firefighters are on the seen in Canning Town this morning as footage and movies on social media present the extent of the blaze.

Thick plumes of black smoke might be seen for miles, with horrified bystanders watching on.

A spokesperson for London Fire Brigade stated: “Ten fire engines and around 70 firefighters are responding to a fire near Silvertown Way in Canning Town. Please avoid the area as we respond. More information to follow.”
