Tesco has introduced an pressing recall for 2 sorts of chocolate bars on account of a possible well being threat.

The recall impacts Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars and Tesco Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars, each bought in 6 x 40g multipacks.

Customers who bought Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars with a best-before date of 28 February 2025, or Tesco Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars with a best-before date of 31 January 2025 or 28 February 2025, are suggested to return them to the shop for a full refund.

The recall is because of a mispackaging error that has resulted in peanuts not being listed as an ingredient. This oversight poses a severe well being threat to anybody with a peanut allergy.

Tesco has urged clients to not devour these merchandise and guaranteed them that they’ll get a refund with no need to offer a receipt.

In a press release, Tesco stated: “We are recalling specific date codes of our Tesco Nutty Nougat Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack 6 x 40g and Tesco Dreamy Caramel Chocolate Bars Multipack 6 x 40g. Due to a mispack, there is a risk of peanuts not being declared as an ingredient in the product.

“This poses a potential well being threat for anybody with an allergy to peanuts.”

Customers can also contact Tesco’s customer service team at 0800 505 555 for further assistance.

The Food Standards Agency has confirmed that Tesco will recall the affected products and has advised the supermarket to inform relevant allergy support organizations.

Notices explaining the recall will be displayed in stores, providing details on why the products are being withdrawn and instructions for customers who have purchased them.

The charity Anaphylaxis UK has warned that the recalled products are “unsuitable for and ought to be prevented” by anybody with a peanut allergy or intolerance.
