A lady who spent a number of years in a British jail and now spends time attempting to assist different prisoners has advised FRANCE 24 that selecting up the pen while she was behind bars saved her life. Lady Unchained now spends her time working workshops inside prisons to encourage others to take up writing or poetry to channel their feelings. She now additionally presents a radio programme on the British prisons’ radio station, which inspires its listeners to name of their raps and has been nominated for a number of awards. Lady Unchained spoke to us in Perspective.
