“The story of the European elections in Hungary has two major takeaways,” stated FRANCE 24’s correspondent in Budapest, Luke Brown. “The record-high turnout – 50% of Hungarian voters – that’s 13 percentage points higher than in 2019, but also the arrival on the scene of a new serious challenger to the Prime Minister Vikor Orban,” he added.
