A pollster has recorded its highest-ever vote share for Reform UK in an additional increase for Nigel Farage. The newest ballot by Savanta put the rebel celebration up one level on 14 %.

The Tories take 21 %, whereas Labour is within the lead on 40 % within the survey on 2,046 British adults carried out from June 14-16.

Chris Hopkins, political analysis director at Savanta, stated: “Our research suggests – as it has done for quite some time – that the Conservative Party is on course for a historic defeat on July 4. If this does come to pass, it will be in no small part because of Reform UK, who have once again recorded their highest vote share in a Savanta poll since their official creation.

“Now that voters are increasingly clear about the choices facing them on July 4, there may well be a trend towards smaller parties and independent candidates. This will likely have limited impact on what currently looks like a colossal Labour victory.”
