Apple doesn’t adjust to the brand new European Union digital markets regulation. The preliminary conclusion of the European Commission is obvious: the digital large prevents “application developers from freely directing consumers to alternative channels for offers and content” and that goes towards EU guidelines. The firm's problem goes additional within the eyes of the Community Executive, which, along with launching this accusation, has opened a brand new file towards it for the charges it costs to digital software shops that aren’t its personal, the Apple Store.

The accusation remains to be preliminary, because the European Commission itself warns within the assertion during which they report the standing of the investigation they opened towards the Californian agency on March 25. Apple now has the opportunity of accessing the Competition investigation now and presenting the allegations it considers. It is the primary time that with the brand new digital market regulation Brussels has reached this level in a file and the penalty might find yourself being very excessive: 10% of the corporate's international turnover.

The Commission considers that the situations that Apple imposes on software builders don’t adjust to the competitors customary in digital markets. This permits these firms “to inform their customers for free of other cheaper purchasing possibilities, direct them to those offers and allow them to make purchases.”
