Once the coup in Bolivia fails, the navy demobilizes. General Zuniga arrested | EUROtoday

The coup try lasted simply over three hours, throwing Bolivia into chaos within the afternoon. What disrupted the plot led by the now former Army commander, Juan José Zuñiga, was the appointment of recent navy leaders. As quickly as he was commissioned, General Jose Wilson Sanchez Velasquez ordered all troopers to instantly return to the barracks and “avoid bloodshed”. The response was virtually speedy.
