Theresa May left a message on a constituent’s Ring doorbell digital camera whereas out canvassing for Perth and Kinross-shire Conservative candidate Luke Graham on Saturday, 29 June.

The former prime minister launched herself earlier than informing the house owner she was placing a leaflet by their door as they weren’t in.

Ms May’s campaigning was praised on-line, with Labour councillor Adam Aston declaring the gesture “a lovely little message.”

It’s not the primary time a former Tory chief has been recorded on a doorbell digital camera – David Cameron left a video message for a family in Hampshire earlier in June.
