Viewers have been loving the nostalgic throwback to the unique movie, which launched in 1984.

“#BeverlyHillsCopAxelF was a 6/10 for me, maybe even a 7. It was definitely funny but I liked Bad Boys: Ride or Die better,” one viewer mentioned.

“But I also want a Beverly Hills Cop 5 with the daughter again tbh.”

“This Beverly Hills Cop movie would have been good in theaters,” one other wrote.

“I’ve been a fan of this series since I was a kid. This movie is a good addition. I hope there’s another one.”

“But when has safe not been good. There is a potential for another movie or 2. Needed some Brandon T Jackson on the next one.”

“It brings me great pleasure to report that BEVERLY HILLS COP: AXEL F ain’t no banana in the tailpipe. It’s the real deal and a hilarious nostalgia trip,” one other thrilled fan mentioned.

However, different viewers complained the overdue fourth instalment featured a number of too many callbacks to the unique when it ought to have executed its personal factor.

“Sure #BeverlyHillsCopAxelF is an improvement on the abysmal Beverly Hills Cop III but that’s hardly an achievement,” one Netflix subscriber mentioned.

“The fact that you get blasted with Glenn Frey’s The Heat Is On straight off the bat tells you immediately that this latest outing relies SOLELY on nostalgia!”

As for extra sequels, a fifth and even sixth outing may very well be within the works if Axel F is successful, as Eddie not too long ago instructed Variety “we have a couple of stories in mind”.

Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F is obtainable to stream on Netflix.
