On Sunday, the “Stand by Me” and “When Harry Met Sally” director urged the celebration chief to “step down” from his reelection bid in a fiery publish on X, previously known as Twitter.

“It’s time to stop fucking around. If the Convicted Felon wins, we lose our Democracy,” wrote Reiner, who has been a supporter of Biden till now and a big donor of the Democratic Party. “Joe Biden has effectively served US with honor, decency, and dignity. It’s time for Joe Biden to step down.”

On Monday, writer Stephen King joined Reiner and a number of different celebrities, like showrunner Damon Lindelof and Netflix co-founder Reed Hastings, in calling for Biden to bow out of the race over fears that he’s fumbling away the election to Donald Trump.
