A flooring enterprise which traded out of John Lewis shops has gone into administration and is being wound down, with virtually 200 workers shedding their jobs.

The Floor Room, which offered carpets, laminate and different varieties of flooring, closed its concessions in 34 John Lewis outlets with “immediate effect” after administrator’s PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) had been appointed on Friday.
