Oscar-winning director Francis Ford Coppola has been planning on making Megalopolis for nearly half a century.

After many years of growth hell, the legendary filmmaker introduced he would self-finance the undertaking by promoting a part of his Californian vineyard to place $120 million into the finances.

The experimental sci-fi epic premiered at Cannes this yr and ended up polarising the critics.

Torn between them is socialite Julia Cicero (Nathalie Emmanuel), the mayor’s daughter, whose love for Cesar has divided her loyalties, forcing her to discover what she truly believes humanity deserves.”
