A burglar who climbed on a tall construction in an try to flee police was rescued by officers in New York City on 3 September, newly-released footage exhibits.
Detectives from the NYPD’s hostage negotiation crew and Special Operations Emergency Service Unit have been deployed to make sure the person was introduced down safely.
The NYPD mentioned the person had earlier assaulted police and endangered their lives throughout the rescue, commending officers for exhibiting “remarkable professionalism.”
Officers rappelled him right down to security the place he was taken into custody, an NYPD assertion added.
