Estrosi welcomes Michel Barnier's appointment to Matignon | EUROtoday
“Itis such a strong moment for me every year.” After David Lisnard on August 30 and Éric Ciotti on August 31, it’s Christian Estrosi's flip to make his political comeback this Friday on the Jardin Albert-1er, in Nice. In entrance of a number of hundred folks, on the finish of the day round 6 p.m., the Horizons councilor started his speech by welcoming the modifications and improvements, notably by way of ecology, carried out within the capital of the Côte d'Azur.
“16 years old”
“For 16 years, with my administration, my entire team of elected officials, with experts, scientists, doctors, we have been working on requirements in terms of ecological transition,” hammered the person who hopes to be re-elected as mayor of Nice in 2026. “For 16 years, we have been making the soil more permeable, because we know that there will be other storms Alex. For 16 years, we have been developing transport throughout our Metropolis and reducing pollution.”
Christian Estrosi warmly defended his file in entrance of his supporters – whom he referred to as “my friends” a number of instances – and tried to determine his legitimacy for a fourth consecutive time period: “Imagine if we had not taken this direction, what situation would we be in today? We would be 16 years behind!” Praising Nice, a metropolis that’s “clean, tidy, well-kept” and in keeping with him, “the big city in France where (one) is safest”, he performed the cardboard of the elected official near the folks.
The appointment of Michel Barnier
Welcoming (unsurprisingly) the appointment of Michel Barnier to Matignon, Christian Estrosi stated he was “reassured” by “the choice of a Prime Minister from the same political movement as (his own), Gaullism” and referred to as on his viewers to offer him an opportunity. “He is a man of experience. I know him well and I respect him. Let's give him a chance,” he declared, insisting that giving Michel Barnier an opportunity was “giving France a chance.”
