Seoul: North Korea has launched a ballistic missile
North Korea has fired an “unidentified ballistic missile,” for the second time in every week, South Korea’s Yonhap information company reported, citing army sources in Seoul. South Korea’s Joint Chiefs of Staff (JCS) stated Pyongyang fired a salvo of short-range missiles this morning. “Our military has strengthened monitoring and vigilance and carefully shared information” with allies Japan and the United States, the JCS added. Tokyo additionally confirmed the launch. The Japanese coast guard stated one missile had already landed. On Thursday, North Korea fired what Seoul described as a number of short-range ballistic missiles into waters east of the Korean Peninsula, Pyongyang’s first main ballistic check since early July. North Korean state media later stated it was a check of a “new type of 600mm multiple rocket launcher” overseen by Supreme Leader Kim Jong-un.

4 Israeli Soldiers Killed in Gaza, First One a Female Soldier
